NORGLIDE® SMTL

NORGLIDE® SMTL

Enhanced Load Capacity with Reduced Tolerance Compensation

The punched bronze mesh is pre-compressed separately, and the PTFE composite tape is thinner, enabling higher load-carrying capacity while minimizing tolerance compensation.

NORGLIDE® SMTL consists of a PTFE composite layer, a punched bronze mesh reinforcement, and a steel backing. Compared with NORGLIDE® SM, the bronze mesh in NORGLIDE® SMTL is individually pre-compressed and combined with a thinner PTFE composite layer. This design increases load capacity while reducing the need for tolerance compensation.

Bearings can be manufactured with wall thicknesses of 0.75 mm or greater while still achieving an interference fit within the housing. Various corrosion protection treatments are available to protect the steel backing.

These bearings can also be designed for zero-clearance operation. Bearings with wall thicknesses of 1.0 mm or greater can be produced while maintaining an interference fit in the housing. Multiple corrosion protection options are available for the steel backing to suit different operating environments.
